About the Role

The Ponce Banker delivers exceptional customer service experience to customers, enhancing the Bank’s bottom line and reputation while creating engagement and contributing to the success of the Branch and the Bank.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers, partners, and prospects by tailoring solutions and offering recommendations to fulfill customer needs.
• Process all paying and receiving transactions, and perform cash vault activities accurately and timely.
• Understand and comply with internal policies, procedures, and all required regulatory requirements.
• Support the branch and bank’s business development plan and growth goals.
• Proactively engage and greet customers, delivering a one-stop customer service experience.
• Identify customer needs, tailor solutions, and recommend appropriate bank products and services (e.g., Deposits, Loans, Cash Management Services).
• Respond to customer inquiries (in person, by phone, mail, or email) and act as the bank’s liaison between other departments and personnel.
• Follow up on customer needs to ensure satisfaction and onboard customers by opening new accounts, completing documentation, and adhering to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Complete monetary and negotiable instrument transactions using traditional and alternative channels (e.g., smart ATMs, TCRs, or traditional teller stations).
• Process wire transfers and other electronic services, and promote self-service options to enhance customer experiences.
• Coordinate periodic customer calls and follow-up meetings to provide value-added services.
• Cultivate partnerships with other departments to obtain and provide appropriate referrals.
• Complete all assigned training in a timely manner and comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act).
• Provide cross-functional support to other areas of the department and the Bank as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with an emphasis in a business curriculum.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.

Skills

• Clear communication in English; Spanish is helpful.
• Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communicative skills.
• General knowledge of retail banking procedures and regulations.
• Moderate PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Self-motivated with a demonstrated aptitude and desire for sales.
• Comfortable with technology (e.g., Smartphone, Online Banking, Remote Desktop Capture, ATM).

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

• Ability to travel to multiple branch locations if needed.
• Typical office environment; ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
• May require working in a standing position for a continuous period of time.
• Available to work Monday to Sunday based on business needs.

Pay

Salary range: $45,500 - $50,000.
