About the Role

As a Universal Banker, you report to the Financial Center Manager and are a vital contact for clients. You ensure all visitors feel welcome by helping with retail banking needs and transactions. Through conversations, you uncover financial needs and recommend solutions to improve clients' financial situations. You act as a resource in identifying and resolving client servicing issues through strong relationship skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients as they enter the financial center, making them feel appreciated.
  • Handle transactions efficiently and accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, verifying cash, and endorsements of checks.
  • Assist clients and the financial center team with new account openings.
  • Participate in sales activities, including outbound phone calls to acquire new consumer clients and deepen relationships with current clients.
  • Participate in the consumer loan and credit card process, managing client applications from origination through closing.
  • Engage and partner with team members and other lines of business to offer appropriate products and tools to help clients meet their financial goals.

Requirements

  • Excellent client service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of bank clients.
  • College degree or work experience providing necessary skills, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in the financial industry not required.
  • Previous cash handling experience is beneficial.
  • Proficient computer skills, including the ability to use a keyboard, ten-key pad, and access information within bank-wide systems.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain accuracy and timeliness.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and written or verbal instructions from management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Monday - Friday, 8:45 am to 5:15 pm.
