About the role

Provide quality, accurate and timely customer service involving daily processing of financial transactions and opening accounts in a retail banking environment. Introduce bank products and services through outreach to prospects and provide tailored recommendations to existing clients to deepen relationships. Perform related duties such as outbound sales calls to achieve banking center goals (meet/exceed sales goals/referral goals), and provide support to banking center management.

Schedule

Weekly scheduled hours:

• Monday - Thursday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Rotating Saturdays: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Provide both teller and platform support as needed to minimize client wait times and ensure quality customer service.
  • Teller support: Process daily financial transactions, including deposits, handling currency, coin, and cashing checks.
  • Platform support: Open checking and savings accounts, and provide all other deposit product services.
• Identify client needs through consultative conversations and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Open and process new demand and time deposit accounts, including savings accounts, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts.
• Cross-sell and make referrals to bank partners to generate new business and deepen existing client relationships.
• Conduct regular outbound calls to clients and prospects, including participating in client/prospect calling activities during special deposit/loan campaigns.
• Assist clients with loan applications for personal/retail consumer needs and facilitate the processing of these applications.
• Research and resolve problems, respond to client inquiries on account status, and deliver excellent client experiences.
• Enhance knowledge by attending relevant sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
• Ensure compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the First Horizon code of ethics.
• Assist with daily operations, including audit controls, and support banking center management with training new associates.
• Stay informed of all operational updates and changes to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
• Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1 year of experience as a Teller preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, 10-key calculator, and coin counter.
• Must pass a background credit check as part of the employment process.
• Compliance with the S.A.F.E Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations is required; ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements.
