About the role

Provide quality, accurate and timely customer service involving daily processing of financial transactions and opening accounts in a retail banking environment. Introduce bank products and services through outreach to prospects and provide tailored recommendations to existing clients to deepen relationships. Perform related duties such as outbound sales calls to achieve banking center goals (meet/exceed sales and referral goals) and support banking center management.

Location: Onsite at the specified banking center.

Responsibilities

  • Sales and service
    • Provide both teller and platform support to minimize client wait times and ensure quality customer service.
    • Perform daily financial transactions including deposits, currency handling, coin counting, and check cashing.
    • Open checking, savings, and other deposit accounts (e.g., IRAs, certificates of deposit, money market accounts).
    • Identify client needs through consultative conversations and recommend appropriate products and services.
    • Cross-sell and refer clients to bank partners to generate new business and deepen relationships.
    • Conduct outbound calls to clients and prospects, including participation in special deposit/loan campaigns.
    • Assist clients with loan applications for personal/retail consumer needs and facilitate handoffs to appropriate associates.
  • Client Experience
    • Research and resolve client problems and respond to inquiries about account status.
    • Deliver excellent client experiences and promptly resolve issues.
    • Enhance product and service knowledge by attending training, meetings, and web-based learning.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Adhere to bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the First Horizon code of ethics.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Assist with daily banking center operations, including audit controls.
    • Support banking center management with on-the-job training for new associates.
    • Stay informed of operational updates and ensure compliance with current guidelines.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; 1 year of teller experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, 10-key calculator, and coin counter.
  • Must pass a background credit check and comply with the S.A.F.E Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations.
