Universal Banker

About the role

Citizens First Bank is a family-owned community bank with roots dating back to 1969, serving Viroqua, Sparta, Trempealeau, Viola, Centerville, and Holmen. We are seeking a full-time Universal Banker for our Viroqua branch to perform teller duties, assist with customer inquiries, and support branch operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform teller transactions accurately and timely, following bank procedures for teller machines, encoders, and CRTs.
• Handle all face-to-face transactions, including opening, editing, and closing customer accounts.
• Cross-sell and refer bank products and services based on customer needs.
• Verify and balance assigned cash drawer daily with minimal variances; assist in reconciling discrepancies.
• Maintain adequate cash and cash drawer limits as required by bank policy.
• Provide outstanding customer service for inquiries and transactions.
• Open night deposit vault and process contents using dual control; balance and replenish ATMs.
• Support branch operations by scanning documents, operating proof machines, and managing safe deposit boxes (rentals, access, fees, and record-keeping).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 1 to 3 years of related cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred but not required.

• Complies with all regulations related to job duties.
