About the role
Citizens First Bank is a family-owned community bank with roots dating back to 1969, serving Viroqua, Sparta, Trempealeau, Viola, Centerville, and Holmen. We are seeking a full-time Universal Banker for our Viroqua branch to perform teller duties, assist with customer inquiries, and support branch operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform teller transactions accurately and timely, following bank procedures for teller machines, encoders, and CRTs.
- Handle all face-to-face transactions, including opening, editing, and closing customer accounts.
- Cross-sell and refer bank products and services based on customer needs.
- Verify and balance assigned cash drawer daily with minimal variances; assist in reconciling discrepancies.
- Maintain adequate cash and cash drawer limits as required by bank policy.
- Provide outstanding customer service for inquiries and transactions.
- Open night deposit vault and process contents using dual control; balance and replenish ATMs.
- Support branch operations by scanning documents, operating proof machines, and managing safe deposit boxes (rentals, access, fees, and record-keeping).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- 1 to 3 years of related cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred but not required.

- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of regulatory compliance.

- Cross-sells additional products/services based on customer profiles and needs.
- Participates willingly in bank training, including sales and service training.
- Complies with all regulations related to job duties.
