About the role

This entry-level position is designed for tellers with less than one year of experience. You will provide a variety of teller account services, handle deposits, withdrawals, and payments, greet customers, and maintain accounts. The role involves operating office equipment, exploring customer needs, and cross-selling services that benefit the customer. You will make referrals to other business units for banking products and services while providing superior customer service. All activities must align with established Bank policies, procedures, and systems, as well as the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act, and applicable State and Federal laws.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily banking transactions for customers, including cashing checks, processing withdrawals, and selling negotiable instruments.
• Accurately maintain cash drawer in accordance with Central Bank policies and procedures.
• Document and report all cash drawer outages as necessary.
• Understand and comply with all regulatory issues pertinent to the teller and customer service areas.
• Complete all required documentation and training for the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
• Adhere to all established security procedures.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area, ensuring all cash, negotiables, and confidential records are secured or disposed of properly.
• Consistently follow company customer service standards.
• Actively participate in the bank’s sales program by making appropriate referrals.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of all bank products and services.
• Attend all required training.
• Assist others in the department or facility as needed or directed.
• May be assigned vault and/or ATM balancing responsibilities.
• May be assigned new account responsibilities.
