About the role
This position must exemplify our retail mindset by understanding our clients’ needs are at the center of all we do. The role requires a thorough understanding of all bank products and services, effective communication, and the ability to meet clients’ needs on their terms. Universal Bankers are responsible for establishing and maintaining client relationships and exceeding client expectations in terms of accuracy, efficiency, courtesy, and professionalism. Employees may be asked to provide coverage for other banking centers in the area as needed.
Responsibilities
- Become proficient in all bank products, programs, and services to provide customers the best service possible.
- Understand clients' financial needs and make appropriate product recommendations and referrals.
- Meet or exceed individual goals while supporting the goals of the banking center.
- Perform routine customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, cashier’s checks, and issuing debit cards.
- Open and close accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and safe deposit boxes, and balance daily transactions while verifying cash totals.
- Exceed client expectations in terms of accuracy, efficiency, courtesy, and professionalism.
Requirements
- Previous banking experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a positive retail mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
