Essential Duties
- Platinum Member Service:
- Welcome and direct members visiting the branch.
- Create a positive member experience from start to finish.
- Present and explain credit union services and products.
- Perform daily tasks such as opening and closing accounts, and conducting account research.
- Resolve member account discrepancies by performing file maintenance and making necessary account changes.
- Assist with the escalation of complex transactions when required.
- Inform members about credit union technology services and offerings.
- Assist members with troubleshooting technology-related transactions and issues.
- Maintain the credit union’s professional reputation by adhering to professional standards of conduct and following credit union guidelines and policies.
- Identify, recommend, and promote products and services to build financial relationships in alignment with the credit union’s business strategy.
- Counsel members regarding money management and financial matters.
- Demonstrate awareness and commitment to achieving credit union, branch, and individual goals.
- Use consultative conversations to assess member needs and recommend appropriate products and services to meet or exceed these goals.
- Promote and establish strong, positive, and productive working relationships within the organization by committing to the company’s purpose, mission, and core values.
- Compliance and Operational Standards:
- Interview and gather preliminary documents to originate, process, and close consumer loans.
- Evaluate and verify loan applications and credit criteria.
- Compute debit ratios, verify employment and income, determine collateral value, and recommend loans for approval.
- Notify applicants of loan decisions and request additional information if required.
- Coordinate and process loan closings, ensuring that each loan is promptly and properly prepared, documented, processed, and disbursed according to the credit union’s loan quality standards.
- Assist in servicing loans by processing items such as payoffs, refinances, loan workout arrangements, address changes, payment extensions, collateral releases, and payment due date changes.
- Process transactions that cannot be completed through automated channels in the branch.
- Maintain a balancing record that meets established standards for transactions performed.
- Absorb and assist with monthly branch audit responsibilities, assist with the internal review checklist, and compile reports as required.
- Assist with controlling branch cash, including balancing cash drawers, the branch vault, cash recyclers, cash orders, and balancing the ATM+ machines as required.
- Identify and report/escalate potentially fraudulent activity, keeping the manager informed of activities and significant concerns while maintaining member information and privacy.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in customer service or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of credit union operations and compliance standards.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Benefits
Starting salary $20.00 per hour depending on experience and qualification.
