Account Associate

About the role

RALLY is seeking an Account Associate to join our team. This position is ideal for emerging professionals with 1-3 years of experience in communications, advocacy, public relations, or a related field. The Account Associate will provide critical support to account teams and contribute to the development and execution of strategic communications campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit communications materials, including press releases, media advisories, briefing memos, and pitch sheets
• Conduct research and synthesize findings into actionable insights
• Support media relations efforts by building press lists, pitching reporters, and tracking coverage
• Aid in planning and staffing client events, briefings, and other campaign activations
• Monitor news, social media, and trends in the nonprofit, political, and advocacy landscapes
• Help manage project workflow across multiple accounts, meeting deadlines and communicating effectively with team members
• Support new business development by contributing ideas and assisting with proposal materials
• Attend and participate in internal and client meetings, offering feedback and support
• Execute administrative tasks as needed and actively pursue your professional development goals

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in communications, advocacy, public relations, or a related field
• Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with core PR concepts such as press release drafting, pitching, and media monitoring
• Experience using communications to support public interest or progressive causes
• Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and media or project management platforms
• Comfortable learning new tools like Canva, AI-assisted writing platforms, or media database
• Resourceful, curious, and solutions-oriented, with a collaborative mindset
• High attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude

Compensation

This is a full-time, hourly position with a pay range of $26–$28 per hour, commensurate with experience. The above range translates to an annual salary of $54k to $65k.
