About the role

This is a temporary, part-time staff position to support a collaborative Women's Health workforce development initiative. The individual will be responsible for developing onboarding and orientation educational resources for newly hired nurses across Women's Health service lines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop onboarding curriculum and educational resources for newly hired nurses in Women's Health units.
  • Collaborate with the Women's Health Director of Nursing and nurse managers to identify unit-specific orientation needs and priority content areas.
  • Design learning materials, competency resources, and educational tools tailored to labor and delivery, postpartum, NICU, and other Women's Health clinical settings.
  • Incorporate evidence-based practices and current standards of care into onboarding content.
  • Rewrite and refine educational materials based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Participate in meetings with nursing leadership and project stakeholders as needed.
  • Complete project deliverables within established timelines.

Requirements

  • Earned Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in Women's Health nursing.
  • Experience developing educational curriculum, onboarding materials, or professional development resources.
  • Effective interpersonal and collaborative communication skills.

Qualifications

  • One or more years of nursing experience in a Women's Health clinical setting, including labor and delivery, postpartum, and/or NICU.
  • Experience collaborating with nursing leadership, educators, and clinical managers.
  • Experience with adult learning principles and competency-based education.

Skills

  • Formal Accountability: Reports to the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs.
