UNIV - Vice Chair of Education - Department of Radiology

About the role

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Vice Chair for Education.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, guidance and advice to students, residents, faculty and leadership.
• Oversee and manage all education initiatives within the department.
• Advise leadership on high-quality education services and develop mechanisms for growth and improvement.
• Work closely with the Department Chair and Executive team, Program Directors of Residency and Fellowships, and administrative staff to support the education mission.
• Serve as the department's representative to the MUSC College of Medicine Departmental Advisory Council.

Requirements

• Experience as an experienced medical educator with an established record of achievement in education.
• Leadership ability to coordinate and advance education and develop collaborations within the institution and beyond.
• MD or DO eligibility to obtain a permanent medical license in the state of SC and hold Board Certification from the ABR.

Qualifications

The candidate should have an MD or DO degree, be eligible to obtain a permanent medical license in the state of SC, and hold Board Certification from the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
