About the role
The Department of Radiology & Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina seeks candidates for Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Musculoskeletal Radiology Division in a dynamic clinician-educator role on the tenure track beginning July 1, 2026. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual to join the Musculoskeletal Radiology Division at MUSC. The position offers excellent clinical, research, and teaching opportunities in all facets of imaging including CT, MR, and Ultrasound. MUSC has state-of-the-art equipment, including dual source CT, both 1.5T and 3T MR, ultrasound, and PET-CT.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the academic activities of the division as necessary to include didactic teaching sessions for residents and medical students
- Perform musculoskeletal imaging procedures using state-of-the-art equipment
- Contribute to research projects related to musculoskeletal radiology
- Collaborate with colleagues in clinical and research settings
- Provide clinical care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions
Requirements
- M.D. or equivalent degree with completion of Musculoskeletal Radiology fellowship training
- Abruptly board certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Radiology
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of South Carolina
Qualifications
Candidates must be ABR board certified and have completed an accredited Musculoskeletal Radiology fellowship. A desire to participate in the academic activities of the division as necessary to include didactic teaching sessions for residents and medical students is required.
