About the role

As an academic anesthesiologist provide services for administration of anesthesia care in an operating room and non-operating room environment and didactic and clinical instruction to medical students, residents and colleagues all in support of the missions of clinical teaching, patient care and research.

Minimum Requirements

• PhD/M.D or equivalent

Physical Requirements

• Continuous (6–8 hours per shift): work indoors; maintain 20/40 vision (corrected) in one eye or both; maintain tactile sensory functions; good peripheral vision; maintain hearing acuity (with correction); determine distance/relationship between objects (depth perception).
• Frequent (2–6 hours per shift): perform job functions upright, seated, or while walking/mobile; use both hands/arms; perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders; reach in all directions; see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance; perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.
• Infrequent (0–2 hours per shift): work outdoors in all weather and temperature extremes; work in confined/cramped spaces; kneel or squat; perform pinching operations; lift/carry, push/pull, or lower objects up to 15 lbs. from floor to 36 inches or vice versa, unassisted.
