About the role

The Department of Neuroscience at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position focusing on aging research. Key areas of interest include circuit, genetic, epigenetic, and molecular mechanisms underlying aging-related brain disorders and diseases. Researchers utilizing advanced technologies such as single-cell in vivo imaging, next-generation sequencing, novel tool development, and/or bioinformatics/computational approaches are particularly encouraged to apply, especially those studying the interplay between aging and alcohol use disorder. Applicants must hold a PhD or MD equivalent and demonstrate an outstanding publication record and extramural funding.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cutting-edge research in aging-related neuroscience
