About the role
The Department of Surgery, Division of Transplant Surgery Research is recruiting a Clinical Research Assistant to coordinate investigator-initiated transplant studies under the direction of the Principal Investigator. This role conducts all research in adherence with FDA Code of Federal Regulations, Good Clinical Practices, and MUSC IRB regulations for the protection of human subjects.
Responsibilities
- Ensure study-required clinical elements and tests are conducted and collected according to the protocol; conduct simple study visits per study protocol (35%)
- Obtain and document informed consent under the direction of the Principal Investigator; maintain accurate informed consent documents for later review (25%)
- Screen and prescreen potential patients for assigned research studies; maintain screening and enrollment logs and provide periodic updates to the study team (20%)
- Complete case report forms and other source documents in a timely manner; create simple data collection forms when required to capture protocol specific data (10%)
- Perform simple data entry to study databases in a timely manner; resolve study specific queries within the EDC system (10%)
Requirements
- High school diploma and four years of relevant program experience; a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must exercise judgment and discretion
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Effective communication skills

Pay
$37,200.00 - $48,300.00 - $59,500.00 (min - mid - max)
Schedule
40 hours per week
