About the role
The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Division (Outpatient Clinic), at MUSC is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for clinician-educator faculty positions in the child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division.
Responsibilities
- Involvement with clinical services in various settings including outpatient, inpatient and residential programs.
- Direct patient encounters and tele-psychiatry services.
- Working closely with residents and medical students as a supervisor and educator.
Requirements
- Must hold a M.D. or D.O. or related degree.

- Able to lift and carry patients weighing up to 300 lbs., assisted.
- Able to push/pull objects, up to 200 lbs., unassisted.
- Able to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected.
- Able to see and recognize objects close at hand.
- Able to see and recognize objects at a distance.
- Able to match or discriminate between colors.
- Able to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
- Good peripheral vision capabilities.
- Able to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
- Able to hear and understand whispered conversations at a distance of 3 feet.
- Must be able to maintain bi-lateral hand movement skills.
- Able to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.
- Able to be qualified physically (by medical personnel) for respirator use, initially and annually.
