About the role

Employee Shuttle 25% - Transports employees, students, and visitors to MUSC and areas within the assigned area of operations. Boards and discharges passengers with concern and consideration safely and efficiently. Monitor vehicle performance on the road and immediately isolate and remedy issues that are within the normal scope of a vehicle operator’s responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Transports employees, students, and visitors to MUSC and areas within the assigned area of operations.
  • Boards and discharges passengers with concern and consideration safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain administrative and operational logs including, but not limited to, inspection forms, mileage logs, passenger counts, accident/incident reports, and regular updates on mandatory training requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with passengers and customers in a respectful way regarding transportation schedules and services.
  • Maintain thorough work records while making timely reports of accidents, incidents, and unusual occurrences.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and one year experience in truck driving, operating a crane or operating a motor vehicle.
  • CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement required.

  • Ability to match or discriminate between colors.
  • Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
  • Good peripheral vision capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
