Job Description Summary

Performs a variety of complex administrative support or technical support duties. Incumbents may perform some secretarial and paraprofessional duties, but job duties primarily involve the performance of administrative tasks. Work generally requires individual discretion in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures within a specified area.

Clinical Administration Support

  • Conducts data collection for required accreditation reports
  • Prepares monthly clinical rotation data reports for clinical faculty
  • Collects data for all preceptor clinical sites
  • Affixes to the clinical education team to ensure student Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences (SCPEs) comply with accreditation standards for the program and the university
  • Schedules student SCPE assignments
  • Affixes to confirm each student has met all requirements necessary for each of their supervised clinical practice experiences, ensuring these are uploaded into CORE
  • Sends preceptor information at the end of the clinical year including thank you, certificate, student eval feedback, and CME letters
  • Regularly updates and tracks individual preceptor URL information for their licensure in accordance with ARC-PA standards

Rotation Site Support

  • Affixes to initial and ongoing site visits (travel required)
  • Tracks new and renewal forms that are due, and preceptor visits
  • Ensures the maintenance of the clinical site, preceptor, and student rotation documentation

Clinical Education Support

  • Affixes to scheduling for student call-back days
  • Attends and transcribes minutes for all Clinical Education Team Meetings
  • Verifies completion of required Blueprint activities for each student on each rotation
  • Proctors student examinations to meet ADA compliance requirements

Simulation/Lab/General Support

  • Proctors student examinations to meet ADA compliance requirements
  • Manages lab supply orders and lab management (scheduling cleaning, etc.)
  • Provides organization and management of the scheduling of standardized patients and Objective Structured Clinical Exams (OSCE)
  • Coordinates scheduling and communication with Scott George and his team
  • Organizes CCET/simulation sessions
  • Oversees otoscope and equipment sign-out and maintenance
  • Ensures adequate lab supplies are available for student learning and collaborates with PAS faculty to establish simulation lab procedural experiences

Minimum Requirements

  • A high school diploma and four years relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services; or a bachelor's degree and two years experience in business management, public administration or administrative services.

  • Ability to push/pull objects, up to 15 lbs., unassisted.
  • Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes.
  • Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand.
  • Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance.
  • Ability to match or discriminate between colors.
  • Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
  • Good peripheral vision capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
  • Ability to hear and/or understand whispered conversations at a distance of 3 feet.
