About the role

The Unit Supervisor is responsible for ensuring high-quality care and supervision of clients and staff in a residential setting. This role supports the Residential Treatment Supervisor in day-to-day operations, staff development, and compliance with treatment and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and guidance to unit staff, including training and performance evaluations.
  • Aid in developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with clinical staff.
  • Maintain a therapeutic, safe, and structured environment for youth.
  • Cookordinate program activities including discharges, intakes, and client transports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation and reports.
  • Administer medications and maintain client medical records per guidelines.
  • Participate in treatment reviews, staff meetings, and supervisor processes.
  • Support staff in crisis intervention and de-escalation of volatile situations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum two years' experience in a residential treatment setting preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and crisis management skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements preferred.
  • Must pass a DHS background study and meet agency training requirements.

Pay

$25.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours

The typical schedule is weekday business hours, with the understanding that evening and weekend availability may be necessary to support 24/7 care.
