Unit Secretary Youth Recovery Center

Valley View's Youth Recovery Center is looking for a Unit Secretary to join their team. The Youth Recovery Center (YRC) is a unique, in-hospital residential treatment center that helps adolescents ages 15-18 work through addiction recovery and address mental health needs.

About the role

Performs clerical and receptionist duties by assisting YRC Managers and Behavioral Health Director in coordinating and managing the unit. Functions as a communication link from the Department to other departments of the hospital. Assists in maintaining an efficient physical environment in the department. Assists patients, visitors, staff, and physicians in the department as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Certified Addiction Counselor is preferred or actively working towards obtaining within an agreed time frame
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Typing and computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, etc.
• Excellent communication and telephone skills
• Knowledge of budget process
• Organized and efficient
• Willingness to learn
• One year Unit Secretary experience preferred, or experience in the medical field

Pay

$20.00 - $28.87/hour. Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
