About the Role
The Unit Secretary coordinates the non-clinical aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the unit.
About the Unit
This seventy-two bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) practices patient and family centered care. The unit acuity level of patients is progressive care. The team consists of initiative-taking, skilled Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and Telemetry Technicians working together. The PCU cares for a wide variety of critically ill patients who require cardiac drips with need for titration, ventilated patients, and those that require a higher level of supportive care.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Specialized Unit Secretary/Health Unit Coordinator training (Preferred)
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Clerical and/or customer service experience
