Unit Secretary- Piedmont Geriatric Hospital
Job Duties
This position provides office support to nursing unit administration and manages Patient Fund Accounts/security of patient clinical record. This position also helps unit program & treatment team per nurse manager's direction.
Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping/fiscal principles and practices related to maintaining a checkbook type record for patients.
Working knowledge of office practices and procedures and maintenance of patient medical records.
Working skill in typing and current office equipment and systems such as personal computer and software including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint which are currently being used.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and follow oral and written rules and regulations and maintain harmonious working relations.
Considerable walking and/or standing, sitting, bending, lifting, visual acuity to work with computer monitor and printouts, and dexterity with hands to use computer keyboard.
-Considerable patient contact.
Minimum Qualifications
Clerical experience in a medical or similar setting involving fiscal duties and dealing with patients, appointments, and schedules.
Microsoft Office
