Additional Information About The Role Location: Missouri Baptist Medical Center Schedule: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM every 3rd weekend and holiday rotations. The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a 16-bed in-patient unit, caring for post-operative cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients once they no longer require intensive CVR monitoring. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Unit Secretary performs clerical duties supporting the operations of the patient care team. Responsibilities Supports the clinical operations by providing customer service and clerical support.Transcribes physician orders as appropriate with close attention to detail.Notifies appropriate nurse when STAT orders are written or when coordinating tests and procedures. Communicates new orders to the healthcare team as appropriate.
