Job Summary
As a Unit Secretary with HCA Florida JFK North Hospital, you can contribute to an organization that values community service. You will perform various clerical and supportive tasks within a hospital unit, including greeting patients and visitors, managing patient charts, handling communication, and maintaining the unit's organization and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
Reception and Communication: Greet patients and visitors, manage communication, and ensure smooth patient flow.
Patient Chart Management: Accurately manage patient charts, ensuring all necessary information is up-to-date and accessible.
Clerical Support: Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining records.
Patient-Centered Care: Assist the patient care team by providing support and ensuring the unit operates efficiently.
Maintaining a Safe and Organized Environment: Keep the unit clean, organized, and safe for both patients and staff.
Clerical and Organizational Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in using office equipment and maintaining accurate records.
Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and other staff members.
Customer Service Skills: Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
Medical Terminology Knowledge: Understand and use medical terminology correctly.
Computer Skills: Proficient in using computers and software relevant to the job.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED preferred
Minimum 6 months experience required
Medical terminology knowledge preferred
