Unit Manager- RN/LPN

About the role

The Nurse Manager will oversee the care management of a population of patients within an assigned area, unit or clinical function. You will utilize expertise in the leadership role as a manager; supervise and coordinate nursing personnel in providing direct resident care in adherence to State, Federal and corporate guidelines. The Nurse Manager – RN/LPN coordinates resource utilization, timely and appropriate care interventions, and interdisciplinary communication to enhance patient and family satisfaction, adherence to center’s clinical systems and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Promote and facilitate teamwork
• Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel in providing direct resident care
• Coordinate resource utilization, timely and appropriate care interventions
• Facilitate interdisciplinary communication to enhance patient and family satisfaction
• Ensure adherence to center’s clinical systems and regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Valid RN or LPN License in Indiana or Compact
• Knowledge of nursing and medical procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
• Leadership and supervisory skills
• Able to make independent decisions
• Demonstrate a high standard of ethics
