About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager provides leadership and oversight for daily nursing unit operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, resident-centered care in compliance with regulations and facility policies.
Responsibilities
- Supervising nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Performing supervisory duties such as hiring, training, assigning workflows, scheduling, and evaluating staff performance
- Handling employee relations, disciplinary actions, and resolving complaints
- Ensuring staffing coverage, managing workflow, and overseeing job performance
Qualifications and skills
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in long-term or post-acute care
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or management role preferred
- Knowledge of nursing practices, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Current RN license and CPR certification
