Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs both clinical and administrative personnel, including scheduling, coordinating activities, conducting performance reviews, and providing training.
  • Leads or participates in staff meetings, including treatment planning, case review, committee meetings, and departmental meetings.
  • Plans and implements unit programming, identifying trends, addressing issues with existing programs, developing new programs/services, and assisting with division planning.
  • Monitors fiscal performance and effectiveness of the unit, maintaining accurate related documentation.
  • Provides community education and public relations support for the unit’s clinical programs to EAPs, agencies, referral sources, and the local community.
  • Ensures unit activities adhere to state and Joint Commission licensure standards and participates in licensure review activities.
  • Identifies unit training needs, develops and implements corresponding training programs.
  • Interviews and hires new staff and handles personnel issues and grievances.
  • Prepares and administers the annual unit budget, adjusting for seasonal fluctuations of expenses.
  • Develops and implements the unit’s annual operating plan, goals, and objectives, ensuring overall financial performance.
  • Represents the organization and/or unit by serving on organization and community task forces, advisory committees, and/or boards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, plus licensure from the appropriate Kentucky Board.
  • Four to six years of experience developing, implementing, managing, and promoting programs for a clinical organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial analysis, budget development and administration, and related business activities.
  • Knowledge of program development, grant writing, and community organization.
  • Good public relations and public speaking skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory codes and accreditation standards.
  • Reliable transportation for daily travel between work sites.
