Unit Manager/ ADON (RN/LPN)

About the role

Work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing department. This includes staffing requirements, quality assurance, and monitoring of resident care.

Responsibilities

• Make regular daily rounds to observe operations and recommend corrections as needed.
• Ensure resident’s rights are maintained, as well as safety and infection control protocols.
• Work with the quality assurance nurse to review and analyze resident incident reports and initiate corrective action.
• Supervise daily staffing requirements, reallocate staff as needed, and ensure compliance with duties.
• Participate in the facility’s Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement program, completing audits and reporting results.
• Rotate after-hours on-call duties as assigned.
• May be required to work the floor as a staff nurse in the event of a nursing shortage.

Requirements

• Hold an LPN License in the state of Missouri.
• Great knowledge of best practices in healthcare.
• Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel.
• Strong communication and people skills.
