Unit Coordinator II/Unit Tech
Job Summary
You will help the healthcare team provide safe, therapeutic, and basic patient care under the direction of an RN, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and efficient unit operations across various age ranges.
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming information, answer calls, and perform patient care duties such as assisting with ADLs and obtaining vital signs.
- Maintain cleanliness, requisition supplies, perform telemetry monitoring, and ensure accurate documentation related to admissions, discharges, and patient rhythms.
- Interacts professionally and appropriately with visitors, families, and others.
- Supports patient satisfaction goals and expectations.
- Performs patient care under the direction of the RN which includes assisting with patient ADL routine, measurement of intake and output, mobility activities and obtaining vital signs.
- Completes appropriate documentation which includes patient records, ensuring it is completed according to hospital policy.
- Performs other clerical duties related to procedures such as admissions, discharge, transfer, organ donation, and death.
- Requisitions supplies, equipment, maintenance and repair services. Prepares related forms.
- Maintains Monitor Technician Certificate and able to competently perform telemetry monitoring.
Job Requirements
- Required: Prior experience as a Unit Coordinator II/Tech or similar position in an acute care facility, a Nursing Assistant course, or patient care experience, including a current Monitor Technician Certificate.
- Basic Life Support - BLS through an American Heart Association provider.
- Preferred: High School Graduate and Nursing unit clerical experience.

Pay Range:
$32.06 - $36.05 /hour
