Pay

Actual compensation is based on relevant experience, education, internal equity, and budget.

  • Base pay range: $21.28 - $26.12 USD per hour
  • Shift differentials:
    • +$2/hr for Monday-Thursday nights
    • +$3/hr for Friday-Sunday nights
    • +$2/hr for Saturday-Sunday days

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support of clinical services.
  • Oversee the individual registration process, insurance verification, answering phones, general office projects, tracking of unit census, and coordination with clinical staff to ensure efficient functioning of the unit.
  • Register individuals for services, including verification of Medicaid eligibility, enrollment with a health plan, and/or confirmation of other third-party insurers.
  • Collect appropriate authorizations and release of information documents.
  • Schedule appointments (if applicable).
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team and communicate any concerns regarding an individual's presentation (psychiatric or medical) to the appropriate discipline.
  • Greet and receive visitors. Maintain security by following procedures, monitoring logbook, and issuing visitor badges.
  • Oversee episode of care in Electronic Health Record (EHR) with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate the discharge of individuals with other inpatient facilities and within the EHR.
  • Obtain clinical records/documents as requested. Communicate information to physicians, nurses, and clinical team members.
  • Coordinate with other providers to assist with the discharge and/or transfers.
  • Assist with involuntary admission process.
  • Serve as a liaison to all departments and act as the key communication link between multiple disciplines associated with individual care and the smooth functioning of the unit.
  • Promote a welcoming environment with excellent customer service.
  • Serve as a resource to families, visitors, and vendors.
  • Answer incoming calls, provide information, transfer calls, and/or take messages as necessary.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of exceptional service customer service-oriented work experience.
  • 3 years of clerical experience.
  • Current Notary certification or ability to become a notary within the first 90 days.
  • Ability to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
  • Must comply with the Company’s mandatory vaccination policy, including showing proper documentation or obtaining an exemption prior to the start date.
  • Complete all credentialing requirements within the required time period, including but not limited to obtaining a National Provider Identifier (NPI), Medallion enrollment, Medicare enrollment, and any other necessary credentials as required for the role.

  • Previous behavioral health experience.
