Responsibilities
- Oversee individual registration and verify insurance, including Medicaid eligibility and health plan enrollment.
- Collect necessary authorizations and release of information documents.
- Schedule appointments as needed.
- Communicate concerns regarding an individual’s psychiatric or medical presentation to the appropriate discipline.
- Greet and receive visitors, maintaining security protocols by monitoring the logbook, issuing visitor badges, and ensuring adherence to procedures.
- Accurately oversee and update the episode of care in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Coordinate the discharge process with other inpatient facilities and manage records within the EHR system.
- Obtain and manage clinical records/documents as requested, communicating relevant information to physicians, nurses, and clinical team members.
- Coordinate with other providers to facilitate discharges and transfers.
- Assist with the 302 involuntary processes, serving as a liaison between departments and ensuring effective communication across multiple disciplines involved in individual care.
- Coordinate the ordering of individual meals, equipment, and maintain necessary unit supplies for daily operations.
- Promote a welcoming environment through excellent customer service, serving as a resource for families, visitors, and vendors, addressing their needs and inquiries.
- Answer incoming calls, provide information, transfer calls, and take messages as necessary to ensure smooth communication.
- Perform all other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the unit.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- One year of exceptional customer service-oriented work experience.
- Three years of clerical experience.
- Current Notary or ability to become a notary within the first 90 days.
- Ability to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
- Pass the following background checks: Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Criminal Background Check, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check.
Qualifications

Pay
The position offers additional hourly pay based on shift differentials:
- $2/hr for Monday-Thursday Nights.
- $3/hr for Friday-Sunday Nights.
- $2/hr for Saturday-Sunday Days.
