Unit Clerk - Outpatient Surgery Center

About the role

The Outpatient Surgery Center located at Trinity Health Ann Arbor’s Level 1 Trauma Center, with 9 operating rooms that average 40 cases/day. Our mission is to provide the highest-quality care to every patient who requires a surgical intervention; both during preparation for surgery and recovery from anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager provides support for patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned nursing units.
• Facilitates efficient patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Supports patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance and overall environment of care.
• Provides reception type services to patients, families, visitors and other unit guests.

Education and Experience

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent
• Three to six months previous related experience
• Preferred Customer Service, Retail, Clerical Experience
