Unit Clerk/Monitor Tech

Position Summary

The Unit Clerk/Monitor Technician transcribes and posts Physicians orders; maintains Medication Administration Records; transcribes appropriate information on patient's graphic record; assists in maintaining PAR Levels of supplies for the Nursing Unit; maintains an organized work environment; facilitates communication between staff, families, and/or visitors. Monitors, interprets and records EKG strips. Staff may receive, secure and transport medications as necessary.

Education

• High School or Graduate Equivalent - GED of General Studies - Preferred

Experience

• 1 Year Unit Clerk or Customer Service - Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• National Telemetry Association Certification (NTA) - Required within one year of hire date or for existing employees one year from this Effective Date: 5/6/2025

• Assists in procedures/exams as directed.
• Obtains necessary supplies, equipment, and/or personnel as needed.
• Communicates data by timely documentation and reporting of abnormal or patient status change to RN/LPN.
• Utilize interpersonal and therapeutic communication skills when necessary.
• Participates in the training and orientation process for new staff as appropriate.
• Demonstrates initiative and flexibility.
• Participates in process improvement initiatives.
