Responsibilities

  • Performs clerical and secretarial activities.
  • Functions as a unit receptionist.
  • Maintains patient records.
  • Runs errands as requested and needed.
  • Assists with patient dismissals.
  • Enters charges into information systems accurately.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work environment.
  • Communicates with patients/families using age-appropriate language.
  • Interprets and enters orders into the computer system in an accurate, timely manner.
  • Stocks assigned work area with papers and clerical supplies needed for patient care activities.
  • Collects and enters complete and accurate patient demographic data into the information system.
  • Performs downtime procedures correctly.

Requirements

  • If hired or transferred into the Emergency Department (ED), must obtain and maintain current JPS-recognized CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Some work experience (less than 6 months).

7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Day shift
