About the role
This position assists with clerical and unit duties, including providing feedback on daily registration processes, admissions, discharges, and staffing issues. The role ensures smooth daily facility operations by supporting staff as needed.
Responsibilities
- Completes intake forms and enters demographic and payer information for all crisis individuals into Carelogic, obtaining new MHID#'s as applicable, and according to policy and procedure.
- Opens and closes crisis individuals in Carelogic as individuals are admitted and discharged.
- Runs reports in the EHR (e.g., Failed Activities/Connects/billing errors reports) no less than three times weekly.
- Works closely with Highland Rivers Utilization Management (UM) department and Crisis Case Managers to resolve errors found in reports.
- Scans medical records into the EHR and sends medical records requests according to policy and procedure.
- Completes supply orders, purchase orders, EHR Helpdesk tickets, and Facilities tickets as needed.
- Completes ERF documentation for all appropriate admissions.
- Reviews and maintains daily census logs to ensure accuracy and completion (CSC, T-Bed, CSU) and emails the daily census to involved parties as backup.
- Creates reports and tracks data as needed or required for the Crisis departments.
- Maintains updated master copies of all forms and makes them available to staff as needed.
- Assists in ensuring agency compliance with all related licensing and accreditation requirements.
- Answers phones professionally using established protocols.
- Assists administration with letters, memos, and emails.
- Attends staff meetings as scheduled.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
