About the role
The Unit Clerk/Monitor Technician at NorthBay Healthcare is responsible for ongoing monitoring and analysis of cardiac rhythms under the direction and supervision of a licensed, registered nurse. They also assist patients, families, visitors, and colleagues in providing excellent customer service, supporting the organization's mission, vision, values, and expectations of excellence.

- Contributing to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive patient outcomes
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Course in medical terminology preferred
- AHA or equivalent CPR certification required
- Telemetry certification within 3 months of date of hire
- Previous unit clerk or monitor technician experience preferred
Qualifications
- Computer skills and proficiency with medical terminology/abbreviations
- High level of initiative and independent work skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in care for patients in the following age groups: geriatric, adult, young adult, adolescent, or pediatric

Pay
NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.
Schedule
NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs. Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States.
