About the role

The RN Unit Care Coordinator supervises and manages patient care by coordinating with patients, families, and staff in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma (associate’s or bachelor’s degree)
• Active RN license in the applicable state
• Preferred: one year of geriatric nursing experience
• CPR certification (obtained at hire or during orientation, and kept current)

Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursing and CNA activities, providing leadership on the unit
• Coordinate and manage patient care plans and services
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation
• Administer medications as prescribed and respond to emergencies
• Maintain professional relationships, confidentiality, and compliance with policies
• Deliver excellent customer service and support patient well-being
• Assist in emergency procedures, including patient evacuation
• Communicate effectively within interdisciplinary teams
