Unit Care Ambassador - Med/Surg 6th Floor North

About the role

Part‑time position (0.60 FTE) at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center in Lancaster, PA. Shift: Day, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments
• Interact with patients, families, physicians, and staff
• Provide real‑time admission, transfer, and discharge communication to registration
• Utilize the Transport Tracker System to retrieve and enter patient information to support ancillary department workflows

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six (6) months of secretarial and customer service experience

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
• Experience in a medical setting (preferred)
