Unit Administrative Assistant - Afternoon/Evening Shift

About the Role

This position is an integral member of the Inpatient Unit, providing administrative support across the Bentonville and Springdale locations. The role includes covering weekends and holidays as needed, with scheduled shifts from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones, greet guests, volunteers, and families.
  • Communicate patient information verbally, in writing, and electronically to appropriate persons.
  • Proficiently use the Electronic Health Records system for data entry, generating reports, collecting and documenting statistical information, and maintaining patient care records.
  • Assist in answering call lights and notify nurses or appropriate team members for follow-up.
  • May assist with patient care if licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • May be required to work outside of the normal schedule and at other locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, and/or on-the-job education sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
  • Preferred minimum of 12-18 months of related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer, and telephone skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently; bilingual is a plus.
  • Must be a team player with unquestionable personal and professional ethics.
  • Annual flu immunization required.
  • CNA certification and experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • If CNA certified: certification must be kept current, current CPR certification required, and current TB skin test and TB fit test required.

Physical Requirements

  • Walking, standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbs.

Schedule

Scheduled shifts from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, with occasional weekends and holidays.
