Union - Truck Driver (10001 lbs plus)

Union Truck Driver position delivering material to customers using company-owned or leased trucks. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on vehicles.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Transport cargo to and from specified destinations
• Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service
• Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo
• Maintain contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick-up instructions
• Verify contents of inventory loads with shipping papers
• Maintain records in accordance with regulations
• Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs
• Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded

Requirements

• Satisfactory driving record
• Valid truck driver license for the state
• High school degree or equivalent preferred
• 2 years of truck driving experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
• Near, far, and night vision
• Ability to detect differences in sounds varying in pitch and loudness
• Ability to quickly respond (with hand, finger, foot) to signals (sound, light, picture)

Pay

$24.88 per hour. This amount is what Wesco reasonably believes it will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan.
