About the role
Launch your career as a Truck Driver for Wesco. We are hiring immediately for a non-CDL Driver. We will teach you about distribution and supply chain techniques valued by Fortune 250 companies around the globe.
Shift: Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting cargo to and from specified destinations. You will prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service.
- Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo
- Maintain contact with dispatcher to receive instruction for delivery or pick up
- Verify contents of inventory loads with shipping papers
- Maintain records in accordance with regulations
- Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs etc.
- Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded
Requirements
- Must have a "satisfactory" driving record
- Requires applicable truck driver license for state
- Valid Driver’s License, with a satisfactory driving record required
- 2 years of truck driving experience required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Forklift Experience
Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
- Vision - near, far, night
- Ability to detect or tell differences between sounds varying in pitch and loudness
- Ability to quickly respond (with hand, finger, foot) to signals (sound, light, picture) when it appears

Pay
Compensation Details: $17.22 - $20.66 Per Hour. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
