Responsibilities
- Maintaining physical condition of community grounds, exterior, and common areas
- Assisting in preparing market-ready apartments, including painting, carpet cleaning, and general repairs
- Responding to resident service requests promptly
- Performing various maintenance functions, such as exterior light bulb changes and equipment maintenance
- Assisting other service staff with projects, including apartment cleaning and drywalling
- Reporting any maintenance concerns and delivering resident communication as needed
Requirements
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Comfortable working in a Union environment
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a motorized vehicle (e.g., car, golf cart)
- Computer literacy and effective communication skills: Must be able to communicate orally and in writing in English for all work-related purposes
- Ability to work any assigned shift, including weekends, and respond to emergencies after hours when assigned on-call responsibilities
- Ability to perform physical activities requiring use of hands, arms, legs, and whole body, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, sweeping, stooping, kneeling, shoveling, crouching, lifting, and handling materials (frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs)
- Use of a personal smartphone with updated software, password protection, and compliance with in-house security systems and operations software
Schedule
Wednesday–Sunday: 1:00 PM–10:00 PM (Off Monday & Tuesday)
Pay
$23.0819 per hour. Employees are eligible for overtime pay and performance incentives and are subject to a 90-day introductory period.
