About the role

This position is a temporary (relief) assignment providing coverage during an employee's leave of absence. The position will remain in place for the duration of the leave period. At the conclusion of the assignment, if a permanent vacancy becomes available, the temporary employee may be considered, based on performance and business need. Shift and hours are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining physical condition of community grounds, exterior, and common areas
  • Assisting in preparing market-ready apartments, including painting, carpet cleaning, and general repairs
  • Responding to resident service requests promptly
  • Performing various maintenance functions, such as exterior light bulb changes and equipment maintenance
  • Assisting other service staff with projects, including apartment cleaning and drywalling
  • Reporting any maintenance concerns and delivering resident communication as needed
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies after normal business hours and on weekends when assigned on-call responsibilities

Requirements

  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a motorized vehicle (e.g., car, golf cart)
  • Computer literacy and effective communication skills: must be able to communicate orally and in writing in English for all work-related purposes
  • Must be able to work any assigned shift, including weekends
  • Ability to perform physical activities requiring considerable use of hands, arms, legs, and whole-body movement, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, sweeping, stooping, kneeling, shoveling, crouching, lifting, and handling materials
  • Frequent lifting, grasping, and carrying of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Own smartphone with updated software, password-protected, and compliant with in-house security systems and operations software

Schedule

  • Tuesday–Saturday: 2pm–11pm
  • Off: Sunday & Monday

Pay

$23.0819 per hour. Team members are eligible for overtime pay and performance incentives and are subject to a 90-day introductory period.
