About the role
The Lead Mobile Engineer leads operational tasks for site-specific mobile teams, trains Engineers, and supports operational mobile engineering duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop operation logs and files, where appropriate, to include, but not limited to; chemical consumption logs, other equipment, and operation inspection logs specific to a property
- Analyze existing systems and operations and develop preventative maintenance strategies
- Identify potential problems areas and notify stakeholders in a timely manner
- Monitor processes, workers, and methods, and develop plans for increased efficiency
- Conduct and develop best practices
- Coordinate with Chief Engineer, Mobile Engineers, and Maintenance Mechanics to ensure quality services are completed on schedule
- Perform quality control on all projects, write reports, and make recommendations for improvement
- Create and implement system-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Generate and assist in execution of Method of Procedure (MOP)
- Assist with critical system shutdown and start-up
- Provide prompt and courteous responses to tenant requests within the guidelines set forth by Cushman & Wakefield (C&W)
- Maintain ethical, professional, and courteous relations with contractors and tenants
- Demonstrate full competency in all current C&W and property emergency procedures
- Adhere to all C&W and property policies and procedures and perform all duties in a safe manner and help ensure compliance with city, state, and federal safety and environmental laws, codes, standards, and regulations
- Participate in required training activities and seminars
- Interpret instructions in written, oral, and diagrammatic or schedule form
- Possess initiative to assume additional responsibilities
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Read and use all types of testing equipment, analog digital multi-meters, pressure and temperature indicating and recording devices, air flow measuring devices, and leak detection devices
- Understand correct usage of basic hand tools (i.e. socket sets, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, saws, and hammers, etc.)
- Understand correct usage and donning of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Understand and apply knowledge of how each of the components in the building systems relates operationally to one another and modify and/or install new system(s) as needed
- Identify potential causes for failure of a system(s) and prioritize repair process
- Handle and coordinate multiple tasks and project assignments efficiently
- Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors with poise and diplomacy
- Maintain a calm demeanor in emergency situations
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Mobile Operating Engineer or equivalent facilities technical trade
- Demonstrated diplomatic supervisory skills and ability to influence other engineers
- Worked within lab and cleanroom environments (recommended)
- Experience working within high-stress and demand environments
- Coordinated and maintained relationships with vendors for work execution and quality control
Skills
- Advanced competence with a variety of software including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and other requested software programs
- Ability to support the Mobile Engineering team during maintenance and troubleshooting processes
- Perform general repairs, maintenance, and replacement of building components including, but not limited to; building fixtures, plumbing, electrical, and A/C controls
- Function autonomously

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Specific license(s) applicable to trade
- Obtain required city and/or government licenses or permits (i.e. Boiler Operator's license, Maintenance Electrician’s License, EPA CFC Universal Certification Technician certificate, refrigeration operator/mechanic's license etc.)

Pay
$81.48–$81.48
Schedule
Shifts may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work overtime as business needs deem appropriate. Willing to be on call in a rotational schedule. Emergency response to limit operational downtime.
