Union CDL Driver & Material Handler

About the role

Ferguson is seeking a Union CDL Delivery Truck Driver to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to drive a truck where you can be home daily with no nights or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the customer, which includes utilizing pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload and ensuring delivery of ticket with material
• Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements

• Must hold a valid CDL B
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• 1-3 of Driving experience is required
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations
• Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements
• Able to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs regularly up to 90lbs occasionally

Qualifications

• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads

Skills

• Background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is a plus

Pay

The pay rate for this role is $28.20 hourly.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm or until route completion.
