Uniform Store Sales Associate
About the role
The sales associate responsibilities will include providing excellent customer service to those inquiring about or purchasing professional apparel, shoes and accessories. The sales associate will assume responsibility for cash register operation and balancing, daily ordering, stocking and inventory control, taking special orders and doing follow up calls to customers and physician’s offices as necessary. The sales associate will occasionally be required to lift boxes weighing as much as 50lbs.
Responsibilities
- Supports the retail store and assists with sales events
- Provides customer service to those inquiring or purchasing apparel, shoes or accessories
- Handles a variety of tasks in support of day-to-day operations, such as inventory, office maintenance and regulatory compliance
- Greets customers with a warm and friendly welcome
- Uses the point-of-sale system to tender sales, enter new customers and inventory and run reports
- Assists customers with fitting shoes and scrubs and offering recommendations
- Aids in keeping the store neat and organized
- Aids in boxing, loading and unloading products for sales events outside of the store
- Aids in checking-in inventory and individually bagging purchases when they arrive
- Aids in delivering and distributing products and explaining any backorder issues
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Manager or Regional Director
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent at minimum
- Six months’ experience in customer service and/or retail sales experience
- Associates degree in related field preferred
- One year experience in healthcare/medical/insurance/DME customer service role preferred

Pay
Part-time positions will be paid hourly at a rate of $12.00-$14.00 per hour. Full-time positions will be paid hourly at a rate of $14.00-$16.00 per hour. PRN associates will be paid hourly at a rate of $14.00-$16.00 per hour.
Schedule
Scheduled hours are flexible Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Hours earlier or later will be scheduled occasionally for sales held outside the store. No weekend or major holiday hours.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory role.
Work Environment
This job operates primarily in a retail setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical demands include sitting, standing, frequent lifting up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
