Store Sales Associate

About the role

The Sales Associate is responsible for playing a critical role by delivering excellent customer service and by having knowledge of the merchandise to achieve excellent customer satisfaction. This position requires a proactive and vigilant individual who will remain highly engaged with customers, demonstrate integrity, effective communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic retail setting. The Sales Associate will play a critical role in building a positive work culture, driving employee involvement, and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization.

Department: Store Operations. Reports To: Store Management. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. Location: In Store.

This role requires sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-location retail environment. Responsibilities may change based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns
• Balances register according to company policy
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provides proper customer service such as, but not limited to, greeting customer, abides by fitting room policies, rings customer in a timely fashion, thanks customer for shopping at
