About the Role

We are seeking a Unified Communications Technician to provide hands-on support for a unified communications and telephony environment. This role focuses on day-to-day telecom support, site-based troubleshooting, and assisting with projects and system go-lives. The position involves working at a primary site and supporting nearby facilities within a small radius.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support for unified communications and telephony systems in a PBX environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues including phone outages, reboots, registrations, and queue setups.
  • Assist with go-lives, projects, and system changes (MAC work).
  • Support power outage recovery and telecom restoration efforts.
  • Perform hands-on device support and system configurations.
  • Work with UC engineers and broader infrastructure teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience with telecom, voice systems, or unified communications support.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for phones, connectivity, and user issues.
  • Ability to work onsite and support multiple nearby facilities.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Good communication and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with Avaya systems.
  • Experience working in enterprise or healthcare environments.
  • Exposure to PBX systems or telephony infrastructure.

The role requires a reliable, team-oriented, and responsive technician who is comfortable with onsite work and physical troubleshooting during incidents or outages.

Schedule

  • Core hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • An on-call rotation begins after 90 days.
  • Travel is localized and limited to facilities within a small radius of the primary site.
