Underwriting Technician Trainee

About the role

Currently seeking a detail-oriented individual for our Underwriting Technician Trainee opportunity, which is a developmental position.

Responsibilities

• Process all lines of commercial property and casualty business within an assigned territory.
• Learn to quote, issue new and renewal policies, amend existing policies, cancellations, endorsements and evaluate policy files.
• Provide technical assistance to the underwriters and assist agents in their efforts to write business.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented individual.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in insurance or related field preferred.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $16.91 - $26.04 hourly. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Schedule

This position will be located in our Southwest Regional office in Richardson, TX.
