Underwriting Technician Trainee

About the role

Currently seeking a detail-oriented individual for our Underwriting Technician Trainee opportunity, which is a developmental position. This individual will learn to process all lines of commercial property and casualty business within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Quote, issue new and renewal policies
• Amend existing policies
• Cancellations
• Endorsements and evaluation of policy files
• Provide technical assistance to the underwriters
• Aid agents in writing business

Requirements

• Detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in insurance processing preferred

Skills

• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Pay

The salary range for this position is $16.91 - $26.04 hourly. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Schedule

This position will be full-time.
